Without Obama Care – No Health Care Reform

The Affordable Care Act, (ACA), aka: Obama Care, will prove to be one of the best pieces of legislation that Former President Barack Obama and the Democrats ever signed into law.

With all the bluster spewed from President Donald J. Trump and the Republican Party, of how Obama Care is a disaster, I can tell you, that without Obama Care, President Trump and the Republicans would have never addressed the issue of health care.

Why do I say this?

Simply because when George W. Bush was the President of the United States, back in 2000, it was the Republicans that had full control of Washington D.C., and it was the Republican Party that constantly ‘TALKED’ about fixing health care, but never made any serious moves.

Hillary Clinton made an attempt by taking THE LEAD in preparing legislation as First Lady in 1992, when her husband Bill Clinton was President, but Hillary Clinton was unable to gain enough support to reform the American Health Care System, which was then dubbed ‘Hillary Care’.

I must say, Hillary Clinton made a valiant effort and gained a lot of progress considering she had no executive power as First Lady of the United States.

To be clear, I personally believe that Obama Care, as it is written today, on this 21st day of January in 2017, is a law that stifles the growth of small business, is much to expensive, provides little to zero choice for consumers when it comes to choosing a health care plan or a qualified doctor, and, at the current rate, if left alone, will collapse under its own weight, and there will be no choice but to move America towards a socialized health care system, something that can not and must not happen.

However, as much of a disaster as Obama Care has become, the Republicans, who now control Washington D.C. once again, will have no choice but to finally address the American Health Care System in a very serious way.

President Trump and the Republicans will be handsomely rewarded with more Senators and more Congressmen in 2018 if they are able to repeal and replace Obama Care with a health care plan that works.

Whatever plan they come up with, the plan must include:

  • No Disqualifying for Pre-existing Conditions
  • Ability for Patient to Choose Their Own Doctor
  • Insurance Plan must Transfer from Job to Job
  • Affordable Coverage for the Self-Employed

along with:

  • Lower Deductibles
  • Lower Premiums

If the Republicans can create a Health Care Plan and Health Care System that is truly affordable and puts the ‘Patient First’, then the Republicans can expect nothing but sunshine in their future, and further, all Americans can then ‘THANK’ Former President Barack Obama for getting the ball rolling, even though that ‘ball’ was first made in the shape of a square.
