Politicians Thrive On Voter Ignorance

The 2016 presidential election has come and gone.

Many Americans are feeling the thrill of victory, while yet other Americans are feeling the anguish of defeat.

There should be no joy expressed towards Clinton supporters and their perceived pain for their loss, because we are all Americans after all.

Yes, President-elect Donald J Trump-Republican, with a Republican Congress and a Republican Senate, will have a tremendous opportunity to accomplish much of America’s business, and rightfully so, because the Republicans won the electoral vote, and in America, it is the way our election system was designed to work.

Now, I do not believe that President-elect Trump should have to bend in the slightest towards accommodating any Democrat political interest, however, Republicans should not falsely believe, based on the election result, that America now belongs solely to the Republican Party.

Just a reminder, America neither belongs to the Republicans nor to the Democrats.

America belongs to the American People.

Another thing for you Republicans, do not for a moment create in your mind, the illusion that Democrats will fall over, and allow Republicans to do whatever their hearts desire.

In two short years from now, in 2018, there will be another election, this time for congressmen and senators, and most likely, the election will reflect just how the Republicans are performing thus far.

Two years after that, in 2020, Americans will be heading out to the voting booth once again, to cast a vote for the next President of the United States, and Republicans can bet the house, that Democrats are feverishly preparing right now for those elections.

Many of those potential voters who are expected to head out to vote are currently sixteen and fourteen years young, not old enough to vote today, but time does not stand still.

In two and four years from now, those kids will be of voting age, 18, and whichever party can deliver their message first and be effective, I believe, will have the advantage in the election.

In the era of social media today, getting the message out to potential voters is easy, however, media is no longer an exclusive market. In fact, anyone with access to the internet can post whatever message they want and it does not matter if it’s true or false.

In fact, the voter of today is influenced more by the charisma and celebrity of a particular candidate as opposed to the facts of any particular issue, and I believe politicians prefer it that way, simply because it is much easier to crack a few jokes and recite a few good lines, such as; ‘I can feel your pain’, or ‘I will bring back jobs and raise your wages’ or ‘I want to bring the country together’.

However, the politician is a politician, and if they have an audience of Americans who happen to be ignorant of the facts, well, that’s really not their problem.

So, let me say this, as American Citizens we all have a responsibility, not to any politician or to any political party, but to our country.

How we fulfill our responsibility to America is through the willingness to learn the contents of the three most important documents ever written; The Constitution of the United States of America, The Declaration of Independence and The Bill of Rights.

These documents are what all Americans need to know to become responsible citizens, because by learning these documents, you will come to know that a politician and a government have very little power over YOU, as an American Citizen.

These documents are what make YOU exceptional in America and most politicians hope and wish and some pray that you will remain ignorant of these documents, because if you ever learn the content of these documents, you will then have the intellectual power to make the government insignificant in your American Experience.

I urge you to learn these documents, and once you do, spread the word and talk to your family and friends, and everyone that you meet, about what these documents reveal, because no politician has the ability to save our democracy.

America’s salvation will only manifest through YOU, The American Citizen.
